Sticking With It

Wow it's been a while since I have posted! Busy does not even begin to describe it. I know its no excuse though.

Well, its a little over halfway through the year and I have to admit I am a bit stuck. But I am down in weight from the last post so (see picture). It's not a huge difference but it is significant in what clothes I am able to wear. Since the picture I think I went down a few pounds, however its nothing one would be able to see through a picture.

Slacking and Getting Motivated

I have been slacking soooooooo much! the fact of the matter is that it is way easier to slack on your plan and just look up tips and recipes on Pinterest instead. But here is the thing. For me i am only 3 months out from the wedding now (actually to the day) and I need to get on it. I actually lost a good amount just by changing my schedule and eating less. Now its crunch time though (pun intended) and I need to get on it.

Ran a 5k!

Wow, Its been like almost a year!

Running, well, more like Jogging

So I have been concentrating on improving my cardio stamina and trying to train to be able to run/jog/walk a 5k in April...we'll see how that goes. I went from only being able to go for 30 seconds maybe to being able to run for like 2-3 minutes. It does not really sound like a lot but its a big step for me!!!

Joined a gym

I joined a gym and have already been there twice!
If you don't really like gyms because of the smelly-ness or grossness i recommend trying a Planet Fitness if you have one near you.

A Great Start...Not!

So... a great yet completely horrible way to start a diet/workout routine is with a stomach virus. 2 days of complete nausea and not being able to keep anything down. Do not try this at home! The great part is i lost like 10 pounds the horrible part is it was just water weight so it all came back a few days later...great. Then as soon as I was feeling better I decided to get cut by a rusty piece of metal and had to get a tetanus shot (which makes your arm hurt...like a lot). So now that it is like a week later I was finally able to start on my working out, although I had to take it slow because apparently it takes me FOREVER to get over a stomach bug.
